I find myself always in a creative state. This is in part due to my varied background, both in art and business. When the two come together, they light up my world. To give you an example of the type of person I am, when considering a new career in the arts, I went all in. I sold my house, left my business career, and went back to graduate school to earn my MFA in Directing. The reason for this choice is that I did not want to look back and wonder what might have been. Trying and potentially failing is always better in my mind. It leads to a life of no regrets, something I believe and practice wholeheartedly.

Over the past three years, I have served as an Artistic Producer at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Of the 38 shows we've produced during this time, I line-produced 12 of them. Under normal circumstances this would be no small feat, but emerging from a pandemic, it's even more vital to be able to navigate with grace and handle this work which changes project-to-project and day-to-day. In addition to producing, I run all casting at the theater, which includes holding our annual EPAs, local general auditions, and callback sessions in Milwaukee, Chicago, and New York. It has been my aim to break down barriers for actors to be seen, especially for local talent, while expanding and growing the talent we hire for our stages. I personally cast about 8 shows per season and have worked on multiple world premieres and co-productions throughout the country, taking point on casting. With that, I oversee the artistic budgets for our department, specifically in casting and special events. I also direct for Milwaukee Rep. This past season I directed Dino: An Evening with Dean Martin for our cabaret space. I also remount A Christmas Carol for our historic Pabst Theater annually.

Over the past year, Milwaukee Rep has begun a $75 million capital campaign. My role in that has been to organize and coordinate talent for over 30 events with the development team. It has given me the rich opportunity to not only meet donors and share the theater's vision for its future, but to also work with teammates from other Milwaukee Rep departments. One of the greatest joys in this role is the cross-department collaboration and breaking down silos within our own theater space. As a member of the artistic department, I also have the extreme fortune of rebuilding and improving our processes and practices to make a better, more inclusive theater. I take pride in our efforts knowing that we are re-shaping the landscape for the better.

In addition to my experiences at Milwaukee Rep, what separates me is my extensive background in business. Prior to earning my MFA in Directing, I earned an MBA with a concentration in Organizational Change and Development. I utilized that degree by serving as the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for a software company for nearly nine years. In that role, I oversaw all operations including recruiting, hiring, training, diversity and inclusion initiatives, accounting, lease negotiations, budget management, and the list goes on. During my tenure, I worked at the executive level, doubling our annual revenue, staff, and clientele. All in all, I bring a unique blend of both arts and business that work harmoniously together.

I am a strategic, detail-oriented, artistic leader that is constantly discovering and pioneering new opportunities. I would also describe myself as a how-to person. I have always succeeded in taking vision and giving it legs to walk on. It requires a certain grit that can think outside the box and yet, see it through to completion. I hope you enjoy!
